The (25% tariff) steel in Canadian shoppers spines

Short (but kinda cheeky as it turns out given the Trump steel and aluminum tariffs) quote here in this NYT article looking at the dynamics of cross-border online shopping.

Any change in shopping behaviour can be attributed to a mix of factors, both structural (more eCommerce options available to Canadians, more choice, Black Friday is a thing now in Canada) and episodic (exchange rate, political rhetoric) but when 87% of Canadians tell us in a Leger Survey (see that it's important to spend their shopping dollar in Canada that stood out for sure.
